Haripur: Police arrested two suspects in connection with the killing of a husband and wife in Ghazi tehsil, Haripur, which investigators say was linked to an ongoing property dispute.
The victims, identified by the police as 56 year old husband and his 50 year old wife, were residents of Pipliyala village in Jhamra union council.
According to police, the couple were at home when their rivals allegedly broke into the residence and attacked them. Both died in the incident.
Police said husband’s body was later taken outside the house and set alight.
The bodies were taken to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Ghazi, where post mortem examinations were conducted.
Police later arrested two suspects who were said to be close relatives of the victims. Police said the investigation into the double murder was continuing.
