Okara: Police arrested a man for allegedly killing his mother and injuring his brother in an attack near village 10/4L in Okara. Investigators linked the incident to a family dispute over the woman’s second marriage.
According to the FIR, the victim was travelling on a motorcycle with her son from village 7/4L towards village 8/4L when they were intercepted near village 10/4L.
Police alleged that the suspect attacked his mother and brother, killing his mother and injuring the brother.
Rescue 1122 subsequently transported the victim’s body and the injured son to City District Headquarters Hospital.
According to the FIR, the victim entered into a second marriage despite opposition from members of her family.
The police record states that the victim and her sons later resolved the disagreement, after which she resumed visiting them.
Cantt police registered a case over the incident and arrested the suspect. Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing.
