New York: German model and television presenter Heidi Klum revealed her Halloween 2026 costume on Instagram on Saturday, November 1, drawing attention to a design that incorporated references to her marriage to musician Tom Kaulitz.
Klum, who hosts an annual Halloween party, appeared dressed as a replica of her left hand, with her face positioned in the centre of the costume. The design included a simulated severed wrist, a green stone wedding ring and a finger tattoo bearing the name “Tom”.
The ring and tattoo replicated details from Klum's own hand, turning the costume into a reference to her husband, who is a member of the German band Tokio Hotel.
Sharing photographs of the outfit on Instagram, Klum wrote: “I've got to HAND it to you.”
Her post attracted reactions from followers, with several praising the design and referring to her reputation for elaborate Halloween transformations. The costume formed part of Klum's 25th annual Halloween celebration, an event that has become associated with her use of prosthetics, makeup and costume design.
Over the years, she has appeared as characters and creatures including E.T., Princess Fiona from Shrek, a worm and a peacock. Her 2025 costume depicted Medusa, the figure from Greek mythology associated with snakes.
Klum's Halloween appearances have become a recurring feature of entertainment coverage, with attention often focused on the construction of her costumes and the extent to which they transform her appearance.
Her latest design differed from earlier character based costumes by incorporating elements of her personal life. The inclusion of her wedding ring and tattoo connected the transformation to her relationship with Kaulitz.
Klum and Kaulitz married in 2019, and the model has previously featured her husband in her public appearances and Halloween celebrations. The annual event also reflects the role of celebrity Halloween parties in fashion and entertainment publicity, where costume design generates social media engagement and coverage beyond the celebrations themselves.
Klum's 2026 appearance continued that tradition, combining a costume transformation with a reference to her marriage.
