Karachi: Pakistani film actor Moammar Rana has spoken about his reported separation from his wife, Mehnaz Pervaiz, saying he has signed court documents related to their marriage but does not want the relationship to end.
The actor, who has been married for nearly three decades, said he still hopes to reconcile with his wife despite the legal proceedings.
Rana also spoke about his family, saying he still loves his wife and daughters.
Although he confirmed signing documents, the actor did not clarify whether the separation had been legally finalised. Further details about the proceedings have not been disclosed.
Rana has worked in Pakistan's film industry since the 1990s and gained recognition through films including Choorian, Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa, Koi Tujh Sa Kahan and Sikandar.
He has also appeared in television dramas, including Dil, Diya, Dehleez, while continuing to work in Pakistani cinema.
The actor has generally kept his family life out of the public eye, so his remarks about the reported separation mark a departure from his usual approach.
