Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has dispatched 100 tonnes of humanitarian assistance to Nepal to support relief efforts following floods and landslides, on the direction of Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The relief consignment was coordinated by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and transported by a chartered flight from Islamabad to Kathmandu.

The assistance includes essential relief items for communities affected by the floods and landslides. The consignment comprises tents, blankets, mats, hygiene kits and medicines.

The government said the aid was being sent to support relief operations in Nepal following the natural disasters and to provide assistance to affected communities.

The dispatch was carried out under the direction of the Prime Minister, with the NDMA coordinating the relief consignment and its transportation to Kathmandu.

Pakistan also expressed solidarity with the Government and people of Nepal during the difficult period following the floods and landslides.

The humanitarian assistance forms part of Pakistan’s response to the situation in Nepal, with the relief supplies intended to support communities affected by the disasters.

The consignment’s arrival in Kathmandu will provide relief items including shelter materials, household necessities, hygiene supplies and medicines for use in ongoing assistance efforts.

Pakistan’s Government reaffirmed its support for Nepal and its people as relief efforts continue following the floods and landslides.
