Mehreen Jabbar’s upcoming television serial Gulbahar is set to premiere on September 16, posing provocative questions around possessiveness, jealousy, and whether love can exist between more than two people. Starring Sanam Saeed and Emmad Irfani who previously headlined last year’s hit drama Kafeel the highly anticipated show follows a focused narrative centered on interpersonal domestic relationships.
Following the release of its second trailer, director Mehreen Jabbar revealed in an interview that Gulbahar examines the fundamental nature of unconditional love, asking whether devotion requires selflessness or possessiveness. The latest promo introduces a third key character played by Komal Meer, whose arrival appears to disrupt the lead couple’s established marriage.
Named after the central family residence where the plot unfolds, the serial also features Bakhtawar Mazhar, Shahood Alvi, and Sabahat Bukhari. Written by Aliya Bukhari and produced under Momina Duraid Productions, the character driven drama will air every Wednesday and Thursday at 8:00 pm on HUM TV.
