Narowal: Police in Shakargarh have registered a case after a 14 year old girl reported being sexually assaulted by a local youth several months ago.
According to the complaint filed by the girl’s father, the alleged assault took place at the family’s home in Mohallah Antowali when she was alone.
The family became aware of the situation after the girl was taken to hospital when her health deteriorated. Doctors informed the family that she was seven months pregnant, after which she disclosed the alleged assault to her mother.
The family told police that the accused had also threatened the girl if she reported the incident.
Shakargarh City Police registered an FIR against the accused, who had left the area, according to the report.
Police withheld the girl's identity because she is a minor.
