London: Jemima Goldsmith has married financier and film producer Cameron O'Reilly, with members of her family confirming the wedding on social media.

The marriage marks a new chapter for the 52 year old British filmmaker and documentary producer, who was previously married to Imran Khan. The couple married in 1995 and divorced in 2004 after nine years together. They have two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim.

Goldsmith and O'Reilly had been linked romantically for more than a year before their marriage. Earlier reports said they met through their professional work in film and documentaries, where O'Reilly worked as an executive producer. The couple had reportedly divided their time between Switzerland and London.

O'Reilly, 62, is an Irish Australian businessman and financier and the son of the late Sir Anthony O'Reilly, an Irish media magnate and former international rugby player. He previously worked in the media industry before moving into private equity and investment.

In 2003, O'Reilly founded Bayard Capital and became involved in the acquisition of Swiss energy metering company Landis+Gyr. The company was later sold to Toshiba in 2011 in a deal reported at around USD 2.3 billion.

Goldsmith has built a career in film and documentary production, with credits including The Case Against Adnan Syed, The Clinton Affair and What's Love Got to Do with It?

Goldsmith's sister in law, Jemima Jones, shared a photograph with her husband Ben Goldsmith from the celebrations and wrote that they were celebrating Jemima and Cameron's wedding.

News of the wedding follows reports in May that the couple were engaged. At the time, neither had publicly confirmed the engagement, with reports instead citing people familiar with the relationship.

The family confirmation now marks a more definitive public moment for the relationship, more than 20 years after Goldsmith's first marriage ended.
