Islamabad: Pakistani boxer Usman Wazeer extended his unbeaten professional record to 19-0 after defeating Indonesian boxer Ari Agustian in his 19th international world-ranking bout in Thailand.
The fight was held at the FFC Arena in Pattaya, where Wazeer secured another victory in his professional career. He dedicated the win to the martyrs of Pakistan, saying the achievement held significance beyond the boxing ring.
In a post on Instagram, Wazeer said he was proud to dedicate the victory to those who had sacrificed their lives while protecting the country.
“I fight for the green and white, and for the heroes who keep us safe,” Wazeer wrote, while thanking his supporters for their continued encouragement.The victory also earned Wazeer qualification for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Gold title fight.
The latest win adds to Wazeer’s impressive international record, with the Pakistani boxer remaining unbeaten throughout his professional career.
In his 18th professional bout, Wazeer faced Indian boxer Baljit Singh and stopped him in the first round, taking his record to 18-0 The victory over Singh was also Wazeer’s third consecutive win against an Indian opponent, further extending his unbeaten run in cross-border bouts.
