Tehran: Iran’s judiciary chief, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, has stated that the Islamic Republic will "never surrender to America," asserting that the country has prevailed over its adversaries in two separate conflicts over the past 18 months, according to state media reports.
Speaking during a bilateral meeting in New Delhi with Indian Supreme Court Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, held on the sidelines of the BRICS summit, Mohseni-Ejei delivered a firm address regarding Tehran’s stance on global foreign relations and national defence.
“Over the past year and a half, we prevailed over the enemy in both wars, and we will never surrender to America,” the judiciary chief was quoted as saying by the official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
The statements underscore Tehran’s ongoing posture of resistance amidst continued international sanctions, regional volatility, and persistent diplomatic tensions with Washington. By delivering these remarks at a multi-lateral diplomatic venue, the senior judicial official reiterated Iran’s policy of rejecting external geopolitical pressure and military intimidation.
