Swat: The district administration has denied claims that authorities raided PTI leader Murad Saeed’s ancestral home or arrested members of his family, saying the operation concerned a government bungalow occupied by his brother.
According to the administration’s account provided for this report, the bungalow was vacated on October 20 on the orders of the Malakand commissioner.
Officials said the accommodation had been occupied by Saeed’s brother, identified in the supplied account as Kaleem Saeed, a tax assistant employed by the provincial government. They alleged that his continued occupation was unauthorised and that the property was recovered after repeated notices and instructions to vacate it.

The administration said police had neither raided Saeed’s personal or ancestral residence nor arrested any family member. It said his father and other relatives continued to live at their ancestral home in Kabal, Swat.
Officials described the action as recovery of government property and rejected allegations of political retaliation.
The distinction between the two properties is central to the administration’s response: it says the operation targeted official accommodation, rather than the family’s privately owned home.
However, the supplied account also states that the bungalow had previously been allotted to Saeed’s brother. The allotment terms, any cancellation order and the notices cited by officials were not provided. Those documents would be necessary to establish when and on what grounds the administration considered his occupation unauthorised.
The account also contains allegations concerning his recruitment and subsequent promotion. Service records supporting those allegations were not supplied.
