Islamabad: Eight Muslim majority nations, including Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates, have issued a strong joint condemnation against recent occupation proposals and statements advocating the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

In a coordinated diplomatic stance, the foreign ministers of the eight countries reaffirmed their total rejection of any forced displacement of the enclave’s population. They emphasised that such proposals violate international law and directly infringe upon the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people.

The joint statement highlighted that the Gaza Strip remains an integral part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, stressing that its territorial unity alongside the West Bank and East Jerusalem must be preserved. The diplomatic coalition called on the international community and the United Nations Security Council to step in and prevent any attempts to alter the demographic or geographic composition of the occupied lands.

Reiterating their long-standing diplomatic position, the eight states reaffirmed that a two state solution based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as the capital of an independent Palestinian state, remains the only viable path to achieving lasting peace and stability in the region. They urged full adherence to international law and called for the immediate protection of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination on their sovereign land.
