Islamabad: The federal government raised the price of high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 2.29 per litre while keeping petrol at Rs 377.91 per litre, according to a notification issued on Friday.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notified the revised prices, which took effect on Saturday, October 31, and will remain in effect until Monday, November 2.
After the latest adjustment, high speed diesel now costs Rs 402.96 per litre, up from Rs 400.67.
Petrol remains unchanged at Rs 377.91 per litre for the second consecutive price revision.
Fuel prices remain under pressure from Middle East conflict
Pakistan's petroleum prices changed sharply since the outbreak of the Iran US conflict in February, which disrupted international energy markets and raised concerns about global oil supplies.
The government also introduced fuel conservation measures, including restrictions on market operating hours and reductions in fuel allocations for official vehicles.
