Web Desk: Global music icons BTS have shattered another milestone on Spotify, logging 8.68 billion streams in 2026. The landmark figure marks the highest annual streaming total ever achieved by an Asian and K pop act, surpassing the group's previous record of 8.65 billion streams set in 2021.
The historic performance comes amidst a high profile reunion era for all seven members RM, Jin, Suga, J Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook who completed their mandatory military service and returned to the global stage. Beyond annual stream totals, BTS has also become the first group and Asian act in Spotify history to have 149 distinct tracks cross 100 million streams, demonstrating deep catalog consumption alongside new releases.
The group's recent studio album ARIRANG has already established itself as Spotify's most streamed K pop album, while the single "NORMAL" set a record for the highest single day video streams for a K pop release on the platform. The streaming surge coincides with their ongoing ARIRANG World Tour, which launched in April 2026 across major global stadiums and is scheduled to run through March 2027.
