Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulema e Islam Fazl (JUI F) have agreed to establish a joint opposition front in both the National Assembly and the Senate following a high level meeting in Islamabad. A senior PTI delegation led by party chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, general secretary Salman Akram Raja, and former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser met JUI F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence to coordinate parliamentary strategy and consult on national issues.

Following the discussions, Barrister Gohar confirmed that opposition parties would adopt a unified stance inside Parliament and convene a multi-party conference (MPC) to deliberate on key issues, including the creation of new administrative provinces, growing unrest in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and constitutional supremacy.JUI F leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri welcomed the engagement, confirming JUI F's participation in the upcoming conference.

Meanwhile, the broader opposition alliance Tehreek i Tahafuz Ayeen i Pakistan (TTAP), headed by Mehmood Khan Achakzai, is set to review progress on September 15, to finalise preparations for the MPC and PTI’s planned long march on September 27.
