San Francisco: Around 20 Pakistani technology companies showcased their products and services at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, seeking investment, commercial partnerships and greater access to the US market.
The Pakistan Pavilion featured companies from various technology sectors at the three day conference, held from October 13 to 15 at Moscone West in San Francisco.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States (US), Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, met company representatives on October 15 and received briefings on their products and efforts to expand their American business presence.
According to a statement from Pakistan’s embassy in Washington, the ambassador encouraged participating firms to use their time in Silicon Valley to establish lasting commercial relationships and explore investment opportunities.
He said Pakistan’s diplomatic missions in the US would support companies in building connections with American partners.
Sheikh highlighted the capabilities of Pakistan’s technology industry and called for stronger cooperation between the two countries in information technology, innovation and digital entrepreneurship.
He also encouraged businesses to present Pakistan as a competitive and reliable partner in the global digital economy.
The participation formed part of efforts to broaden the industry’s international reach and connect Pakistani businesses with potential investors and commercial partners.
TechCrunch Disrupt brings together startup founders, entrepreneurs, software professionals, venture capital investors and industry leaders. For participating companies, the event provided a setting to demonstrate their offerings and discuss opportunities for expansion.
The embassy statement focused on business outreach and partnership building. It did not announce signed investment agreements or disclose financial commitments resulting from Pakistan’s participation.
