Peshawar: Pakistani martial artist Irfan Mehsood has added another international achievement to his growing tally, securing a new Guinness World Record for the most full extension one hand punches performed in one minute while holding a 10 kilogram weight. Executed in Dera Ismail Khan, Mehsood delivered 38 full extension strikes, comfortably surpassing the required benchmark of 30 punches previously maintained.
The achievement further solidifies Mehsood's standing in global strength and fitness disciplines. Holding approximately 70 Guinness World Records specifically in push ups categories the highest number worldwide in this discipline Mehsood's achievements encompass a broad range of physical trials including squats, jumping jacks, step ups, knee strikes, elbow strikes, and high jumps. Many of his records have been set while carrying heavy loads ranging from 40 to 100 pounds, surpassing targets previously held by top athletes from more than 20 countries, including the US, the UK, India, China, and Germany.
Dedication to the sport has driven Mehsood to extend his influence beyond individual accomplishments by mentoring up and coming talent in his home region. Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to represent Pakistan on the international stage, he stated that his primary objective remains promoting sports, physical fitness, and healthy living among youth. To date, 20 of his students have trained under his guidance to earn their own official Guinness World Records across various fitness categories.
