Islamabad: Hania Aamir’s growing audience, successful television roles and international visibility have placed her among Pakistan’s most prominent contemporary actors.
Aamir entered the entertainment industry with the 2016 film Janaan and moved into television the following year with Phir Wohi Mohabbat, for which she won the Hum Award for Best Television Sensation Female. Her career has since expanded across television, cinema, fashion and digital media.
Her popularity grew through projects including Anaa, Ishqiya and Mere Humsafar. In Mere Humsafar, which aired in 2021 and 2022, she played Hala alongside Farhan Saeed, a role that brought her further recognition and nominations at the Lux Style Awards.
Aamir reached another milestone with Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum in 2024, in which she portrayed Sharjeena opposite Fahad Mustafa. The performance earned her the Lux Style Award for Best Television Actress, adding a major industry honour to a career that had already established her as a leading television actor.
Her influence also extends beyond screen performances. Forbes reported in May 2026 that Aamir was the most followed Pakistani woman on Instagram, with around 20 million followers. Her large digital audience has made her a prominent figure in Pakistan’s entertainment and commercial landscape, where celebrity visibility increasingly extends beyond traditional television and film.
That visibility has also taken her work beyond Pakistan. In 2025, she appeared in the Punjabi language film Sardaar Ji 3, alongside Indian actors Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, marking her entry into the Indian Punjabi language film industry.
Aamir’s appeal has developed alongside a changing Pakistani entertainment industry in which television dramas increasingly find audiences beyond their original broadcast markets through digital platforms. Her performances in widely watched dramas, combined with her substantial social media following, have helped make her recognisable to audiences both inside and outside Pakistan.
Her trajectory illustrates how Pakistani actors can build influence across several platforms rather than relying solely on television ratings or film releases. For Aamir, the combination of established acting credentials, digital reach and cross border projects has turned her from a rising performer into one of the country’s most visible entertainment figures.
