Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly criticised Indian media's attempts to frame Pakistan over allegations of state sponsored terrorism, stating that India launched a military conflict based on a falsehood and suffered a decisive defeat. Writing on the social media platform X on Monday, September 14, 2026, Bilawal praised Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for dismantling New Delhi's narrative live on an Indian television network during his visit to the country for the BRICS summit.
Responding to a broadcast clip from NDTV where the host attempted to draw a parallel between Israeli military actions in Gaza and Pakistan's alleged link to the April 2025 Pahalgam attack, Prime Minister Ibrahim declined to endorse the charge.
The Malaysian leader confirmed that his own intelligence agencies had uncovered no evidence establishing Pakistani state involvement, emphasising that Malaysia bases its international stance on verified facts rather than unsourced claims. Bilawal noted that India now stands exposed internationally and urged New Delhi to honor its post ceasefire commitments by engaging in constructive dialogue on all friction points to ensure regional stability.
