Bishkek: In a congratulatory message to the forum, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov emphasised the critical role the media plays in strengthening mutual understanding among SCO member states. He expressed hope that the gathering would drive practical cooperation in content co creation, professional exchanges, and talent training, encouraging productions focused on the shared history and modern development of the region. Echoing these sentiments, CMG President Shen Haixiong highlighted how the "Shanghai Spirit" of mutual trust and respect for diverse civilizations has guided the SCO into becoming the world's most populous regional organisation.
A major milestone of the event was the launch of the Action Plan for Further Deepening Media Cooperation Among Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Countries (2026 2027), jointly signed by CMG, NTRK, and the Pakistan Television Corporation. In addition, the documentary "United for the Future: The 25th Anniversary of the SCO" was officially introduced for release across primary streaming networks in member countries.
Furthermore, CGTN’s Russian channel announced plans to achieve complete nationwide broadcast coverage across Kyrgyzstan to coincide with the upcoming SCO summit in Bishkek. The forum also served as the platform for several cross cultural creative projects across member nations.
Principal photography officially began on "Our Day," a collaborative feature film co produced by China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, while the short video creation camp under the "SCO: Youth in Action" project reached its conclusion. To widen international outreach, CMG launched the "CMG Showcase SCO Special," making curated cultural programming available as in flight entertainment on international China Southern Airlines routes. Representatives from Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan reaffirmed their shared commitment to using these media channels to enhance regional dialogue.
