Islamabad: Capital Territory police say they have rescued four Chinese nationals who were being held for ransom by a local criminal gang. , A suspect associated with the gang was arrested separately in connection with a case dacoity registered with Shalimar police station where he was being interrogated.
During the course of the interrogation the suspect disclosed that he, along with several accomplices, kidnapped four Chinese nationals from F-10/4 for ransom. The victims were allegedly shifted to Bani gala and detained at a dairy farm after being abducted. The suspect further said that he and his accomplices were currently bargaining for ransom. The suspect later offered to direct the police to the farm
After a, suspects inside opened fire that the police returned. After the encounter ended, the police captured two kidnappers who were guarding the captives, detained in an adjacent room of the farm. The police found the four Chinese nationals in the room and took them into their custody, but police say the ringleader of the gang managed to escape.
