Quetta: Security forces killed two terrorists during an intelligence based operation conducted in the Palantak area of Washuk district in Balochistan, security sources confirmed on Monday.

According to officials, the operation was executed based on specific intelligence inputs regarding the presence of terrorists in the region. During the engagement, security forces targeted the suspects' vehicle, which was completely destroyed.

Security sources stated that the terrorists were directly involved in prior attacks targeting security and state infrastructure, including recent assaults on the Mashkhel Police Station and regional customs house.

Following the raid, security personnel seized two Sub-Machine Guns (SMGs) along with 200 rounds of ammunition, nine SMG magazines, one M16 rifle equipped with a thermal imaging sight, 120 rounds of M16 ammunition, and eight M16 magazines. Four bandoliers were also recovered as well as eight hand grenades of various types, one Improvised Explosive Device (IED) remote control unit, and one intact IED device. One Motorola radio set, four smartphones, and three basic mobile phones . One Toyota off road vehicle (destroyed during the operation) and one Honda CG-125 motorcycle. Two Fitna al Hindustan (FaH, formerly known as Baloch Liberation Army) caps, as well as two medical kit boxes containing intoxicating drugs were recovered.

Security forces continue to maintain a heightened presence in the region to prevent further insurgent activity.
